Check out the January 26th Google Doodle celebrating Aviator, Bessie Coleman.
The first black woman to hold a pilot’s license in the U.S. and the first American woman to hold an international pilot license, Bessie performed as a stunt flier known as Queen Bess. A flying sensation until her death via plane crash in 1926, Ms. Coleman’s legacy of dreaming big and flying high lives on through the retelling of our history.
On her birthday, we celebrate her bravery, her daring and her commitment to greatness.
Happy Birthday Queen Bess!!!
